Q. What if the Cal State LA Library doesn't have the book I want? Can I still get it?

If the Library does not have the book need but another CSU owns it try requesting through CSU+ via OneSearch. If you cannot find the item you want in OneSearch you can use the library's Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL) to get a book from another library. For information on how to set up an account please see the University Library Interlibrary Loan Service site.  You can also check the status of your requests there.

More Ways to Get Help

In Person

Stop by the library Service Desk (Library North, 1st floor) when you have questions or need help with library research.

Student research consultants are available to help you navigate the research process: to provide you with an introduction to such things as developing a keyword search, finding, evaluating, and citing sources, etc.

Librarians are on-call to assist with in-depth research questions and to provide help using specialized resources.
